I read this novel because I wanted to find out more about Catherine Gordon but was very disappointed because this book was more sugary, candy floss romance (and it didn't even do that very well) than informative historical fiction. What "facts" were included were questionable at best and ridiculous at worst, because the authors obvious bias and Yorkist agenda were clearly visible.
Only read this book if you like your historical fiction pink and fluffy, and you don't mind if the characters you are reading about bear little or no resemblance to the historical figures they claim to be. If you like your HF novels meaty and reasonably accurate then this is
not the book for you.
I've now read three of Ms Worth's novels and I'm afraid this will be my last. She is clearly not an author for me :-(.
