The Aspern Papers
While I loved James' story, I wouldn't recommend the edition I read (a Kindle freebie downloaded from Amazon) as there were several discrepancies between it and my Penguin Classic paperback edition. The one that really mattered and which made a huge difference was in the last line of the story as it changed the context and impact of it dramatically. I would definitely recommend reading the Penguin Classic edition if you can afford to!
